History -Qaimkhani or Kaimkhani is a Muslim Rajput clan reside in Sindh and Punjab, Pakistan. A large majority of Qaimkhanis migrated to Pakistan after the partition of India in 1947.
Qaimkhani embraced Islam nearly 600 years ago. We are the descendants of Khan-e Jehan Nawab Qaim Khan Shaheed, son of Raja Motay Rai Chauhan, the ruler of Dorayra or Dadrewa (presently situated in the Churu district of Rajasthan). The first progenitor of Qaimkhanis was Karamchand born in the family of Moterao of Chauhan clan, the ruler of Dadrewa. Karamchand embraced Islam during the reign of Firuz Shah Tughluq and was named Qaimkhan. We, as his descendants, are called Qaimkhani.
Poetic tribute to Qaimkhani is written by Mustafa Ali Khan. To view, please click here.
